Then, once you have a _custom audience setup_, you can then follow [this second set of steps](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/465262276878947?id=401668390442328) to create a lookalike audience from the custom audience you made.

This way it targets people similar to them! I hope that helps clear things up a bit.
